Consumer Reports is not all about bad cars and dissatisfaction. At the top end of their game sits a list of cars consumers are most satisfied with. We report about ten of the most satisfying cars Consumer Reports subscribers picked after rating their cars in six different categories and answering a simple question – would you buy it again?
Consumer Reports subscribers had to rate cars in following categories:
- Driving experience,
- Climate systems.
The results show that owners of high-end vehicles are definitely the most satisfied with their purchases. Tesla sits at the top, again.
Tesla Model S leads the pack of the cars customers are most satisfied with. While Consumer Reports test do praise Tesla for its tech, comfort, quietness, and performance, they also note a number of drawbacks. Some of them are “tight access, restricted visibility, and range limitations, especially in cold weather.”
Customers, however, are inclined to give a top rating for their Tesla Model S experience giving the car top marks in almost every segment. After all, the Tesla Model S managed to gain 92 percent customer satisfaction.
Only 0.4 percentage points below sits the Porsche 911. The sports car has been among top-rated cars in Consumer Reports surveys for years, now only cementing its place with royalty.
Buyers are really inclined to buy it again while Consumer Reports test praised it for sublime handling, thrilling exhaust note, and beautifully crafted interior.
Interestingly enough, American cars dominate this list. Six of them. While the Tesla sits at the top, the third is the Chevrolet Corvette C7. An astonishing machine certainly exhilarating enough to make its owners mark it as a top pick.
Mazda MX-5 is, of course, on the Consumer Reports list
As for other American cars on the list, one can find the Lincoln Continental at the fourth place, the Ford F-350 at fifth, the Tesla Model X at eight and the Dodge Challenger at the tenth place. Sixth, seventh and ninth is reserved for Japanese cars. Mazda MX-5 at the sixth place, the Toyota Prius is seventh and the Honda Odyssey reached the ninth place.
