1100hp 2JZ Powered S2000 – A Japanese Shelby Cobra
This Is What A 2JZ S2000 Looks And Sounds Like!

1100hp 2JZ Powered S2000 Big Power – Small Package
The basic principles of building a fast car goes something like this. Big powerplant in the smallest package possible. Carroll Shelby was a muscle car pioneer by placing Ford V8’s in small British bodies and thus giving us the timeless Cobra. Well this Honda S2000 owner applied the same principles by placing in the Toyota Supra’s tuner friendly 2JZ with a forged 3.0L block and a massive turbo. As a result you have an 1100hp 2JZ Powered S2000 monster shoe’d up with Mickey Thompson’s (Sticky Mickey’s).
1100hp 2JZ Powered S2000 Weight Ratio
The S2000 came with the original 2.2L and in at just over 2,800 LBS. Now the 2JZ isn’t the lightest of engines as the aluminum Toyota 4.3 L 3UZ-FE V8 weighs only around 2 LBS more. So we suspect that this S2000 is closer to the 3,000 LBS mark with some change. But even so, with 1,100 HP coming from the engine means that this car is still close to 0.4 HP per LB. That is supercar territory for sure.
That’s A Lot Of 2JZ’s
As you see in the video, the other Supra’s even with their massive Turbo’s and god knows how many PSI’s of boost are having a tough time keeping up with the little S2000. Even though this 2JZ S2000 might lose a bit of nimbleness on the corners, I think that it is more than a fair trade to have an 1,100 HP beer can to drive.
Side note: We do like the chicken-wing powered Mustang as well.
