Lexus ES 2019 model launched at $40,525 offers more power and better fuel economy

With a new platform, an even more robust powertrain and an F Sport version, the Lexus ES 2019 model has undergone dramatic changes and the car looks even more athletic than before. A buyer would expect a huge price rise however the price has increased by $550 to $40,525 and the price for the hybrid version has dropped down.

The F Sport model comes with the blacked out special grill, dark lower valance and a rear spoiler. There is also an option for an adaptive variable suspension. The Vehicle comes with an even powerful 3.5-liter V-6 producing 302 hp and 267 nm of torque. The previous version came with 268 hp and 248 nm of torque. The ES also comes with a new eight-speed automatic transmission.

Even the Fuel economy has improved on the standard version of the ES and the EPA pegs 22 mpg on City speeds, 33 mpg at highway speeds and 26 mpg on a combination which is far better than its predecessor. The F sport model gives a little lower mileage at 22 mpg on City speeds ,31 mpg at highway speeds and 25 mpg on a combination.

The hybrid version will come with top-notch fuel economy and starts at $42,335 which is a $510 decrease than the previous version. Nickel hydride battery, compact Electric motor, and 4-cylinder 2.5-liter gas engine.

The Total output of the hybrid model has increased from 200 hp to 215 hp and a better fuel efficiency of 43 mpg on City speeds, 45 mpg at highway speeds and 44 mpg on a combination.
