1968 Pro Touring C10 – Well Truck Me Running
Published November 5, 2015
The C10 has always been a good looking truck in my opinion, but to see the truck in the hands of a talented fabricator delivers a truck that will make you salivate.
When building a fast streetable truck, there is no limitations as to how much work you can pour into it. For this 68 C10, it has had the frame boxed, driveshaft loop added, 4-link w tubular lowers and uppers and coilovers helping to plant the rear end. As for the cab it has been channeled, lengthened and chopped in order to give it a nice and low center of gravity and looks.
At the drivetrain we see a 468hp LS6 connected to a 6-speed Tremec. Power is sent to a 4:10 packed Dana and to help stop this beast are Wilwood 6 piston fronts on 13″ rotors and 4 piston rears on 12″ rotors and covered by 20″ Boze wheels.
Peeking into the engine bay it becomes apparent that great lengths were taken in order to clean up the looks including relocating the brake master cylinder. And don’t let it fool you, this truck still maintains all the amenities including A/C.
