2001 Acura Integra Pickup Conversion up for Sale on Craigslist
Can be yours for $5,000
Updated December 4, 2017
American pickup truck buyers have a rather polarized choice on today’s market. A lot cooler alternatives would be some downright forgotten and obscured pickup trucks from both recent and more distant past. Even that’s not enough for some people so they have no option but to take a whole different approach. A pickup truck conversion approach. That’s exactly what owner of this 2001 Acura Integra pickup conversion has done. And he’s now ready to sell his pride and joy for $5,000 on Craigslist. Not a bad deal considering an average 2001 Integra usually goes for between $3,000 and $4,000.
But what does this unorthodox pickup truck offer aside from the obvious? For starters, conversion was based on a 2001 Acura Integra GS-R which was enthusiasts’ choice before the Type R’s arrival. This actually means that donor car alone goes for more than the above stated $3k to $4k. And for $5k, this pickup Integra will give you 170 horsepower and 8,000 rpm redline. Despite the original being one of the best-handling cars of its generation, it would be interesting to see how this conversion fares due to all the body modifications. Moreover, the project car is far from being perfect. Most immediate cosmetic concerns are off-colored hood and driver’s side front quarter panel. That and a squeaky sunroof. Seller didn’t mention any mechanical-related issues.
At least the car comes with Skunk2 Pro coilovers, Hasport motor mounts, and a short throw shifter. A fine start for what could possibly become an ultimate sporty compact truck. Would you mind owning a conversion pickup truck like this? And how much would you be willing to spend on this peculiar specimen?
