2013 Audi Q7

It’s big. Really quite big. The Q7 is everything you would expect from and full size SUV, to huge to be cool, horrible on gas, and a total poser when it comes to anything remotely off road. Audi is obviously trying to keep up with the SUV market with the Q7. They certainly have the demand in their customer base for it. And Audi is providing it in spades. To be sure there are those out there who require a full size SUV and if they’ve got a little extra cash to throw at one you might as well go for the 2013 Audi Q7.
With size comes comfort and the air suspension certainly makes the riding experience a very comfortable one. However the Q7’s body control can make for a stiff ride on some roads. Another added bonus with the expansive exterior size is endless interior room. Enough for all the kids to go to their own naughty corner on long road trips. And speaking of the highway the Audi Q7 cruises with effortless grace.
There is a 3.0 liter T option for the reasonable and it suits the car just fine. It’s an all-aluminum Audi V6 engine supercharged and operates at create 280hp and impressive torque of 295 lb-ft. That same 3.0 liter T can be optioned to a higher performance package producing 333hp and an increase to 325 lb-ft. of torque. Additionally Audi is now offering the 3.0 liter TDI diesel engine produce a very effective 406 lb-ft. of torque and produces 225hp. Audi also boasts that it produces 20 percent fewer CO2 emissions than a comparable gasoline engine. For an SUV at this size it handles remarkably well.
The thing about Audi is all that image and prestige and the privilege of driving around with the four interconnected logo your car comes with a steep price line. So be prepared to part with a great deal more cash for the multiple packages Audi offers just to make that Q7 look like it was truly worth every last penny. Because if you want the Navigation system or the Bang and Olufsen sound system or the panoramic sunroof you’re going to have to pay a little bit more for them. Actually that’s a lie. You’re going to have to pay a whole lot more for them. That’s not even taking into consideration options like 20inch wheels or adaptive air suspension or even some brushed aluminum accents and styling and a fancy steering wheel. If you want the complete package for the optimal Audi Q7 you’d best go to the dealership with a fat checkbook.
But it is huge. This is an ideal car for a large family that is active and take numerous road trips and excursions. There is no shortage of cargo room for snowboards or skis or supplies for extended stays at the cottage. Gas mileage is an after thought, but where ever you and the crew are going with all that gack you’re going to be going is some high style.
