Are you looking for a great pickup truck? Then you have probably considered getting 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Chevrolet has a long history of making pickup trucks. Their first model was introduced back in 1930 and they have produced them ever since. The Silverado name was used from 1975 to 1999 but only as a term that details the trim for Suburbans and the Chevrolet C/K pickup trucks. The latest revision was made in 1999 and from there only a small number of changes have been made over the years. For everyone that wants a normal family or business pickup truck Silverado is still the main choice if they want to stick with the General Motors offering. You could also check out Chevrolet Sierra for a more luxurious version.

Over the course of Chevy Silverado 1500 life span there was only a one slight change in its overall exterior design. That happened in the distant 2007 and nothing has changed since then. Well, nothing severe or worth mentioning. In 2012 few minor details were changed but that is all. Sure, the truck doesn’t luck ugly but it is starting to look a little bit dated. It has the most dated look from all the Big Three trucks so if you are looking for something refreshing then you are going to be disappointed.

All of the previous Chevrolet pickup truck had strong and powerful engines and that hasn’t changed over the years. 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 is mainly equipped with large and powerful V-8 engines but there is also a smaller V-6 one for those of you who are concerned with fuel consumption and economy. Those of you who are buying this pickup truck for work might be interested in the latter one. This smaller 4.3-liter V-6 engine produces up to 195 horsepower and is combined with a four-speed automatic. For those of you who like alternative fuels, there is also a flex-fuel-capable 4.8-liter V-8 that delivers up to 302 horsepower. This version also comes with a four-speed automatic. 5.3-liter V-8 is the best-buy option for most people that are buying it for personal use. It is also flex-fuel-capable and has cylinder deactivation for better fuel economy. Coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission it is able to produce 315 horsepower. Top of the line is represented with a really powerful 6.2-liter flex-fuel V-8 that gives astonishing 403 horsepower.

For all of you who like pickup truck Chevrolets offering is still a good one. 2013 Silverado 1500 maybe hasn’t changed over time as much it should have but it is still a decent choice that no one is going to regret. It dated design might put some people off, especially know when Ford and Dodge have made some advancements that Chevrolet hasn’t. This is especially true for the somewhat dated exterior and not really economical engines. Still, it is probably the best-buy for an average consumer since it is a really balanced product that comes with a lot of packages for customization.
