2017 Dodge Viper Shares The Same Price (from $92,990) As Last Year’s Model

Published August 19, 2016

Dodge ceases the Viper series after rolling out the 2017 model.

Keen on acquiring the upcoming Dodge Viper 2017? The FCA Authority (An indie website which has been vocal about Fiat Chrysler Automobile vehicles) has reported that this model will be priced exactly like last year’s. The news came after they carefully combed through official announcements pertaining to the upcoming 2017 model.

Fans would be glad to know that this model costs $92,990 in the United States. Buyers should know that a part of this cost consists of a $2600 tax, and not forgetting a $2498 destination charge. Sounds familiar? If course it does, because last year’s model was priced the same too.

It’s quite surprising to know that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles did not increase the price of the upcoming 2017 model, seeing as this would be the last Viper model ever to be produced. However, the common prediction was wrong; the makers of the Viper did not capitalize on this. Dismal sales numbers of the Viper probably made execs at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles abstain from increasing the 2017’s price.

Now, this is where things get interesting. To commemorate rolling out of the last Viper with a bang, they’re planning for no less than six special edition models. Fans of the ACR model, be glad and rejoice because at least five out of the six were designed after the ACR. However, soon as the announcement came, the special edition cars were bought up by fervent fans. But not to worry, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will unleash yet another limited edition which has been christened the Viper Snakeskin Edition ACR.

It’s also a pretty awesome thing that owners of the upcoming Viper 2017 will be able to be part of the customization program. The Dodge 1 For 1 program gives buyers the liberty to choose any car color combo. The makers of the Viper made it so that the combo will not be repeated for the same model year, which makes it a sensible decision. Why? Well, since the Viper would not be around forever with the ceasing of future models, it may be a good idea to choose a truly unique color combination, thus showing off your creativity with your very own identity.

Throughout the history of Viper, car owners who took advantage of this program. It’s been  proven that they are able to fetch a good price upon reselling it. And why not, since the 2017 model is very much the same as its 2016 predecessor.
