2021 Ford Bronco Sasquatch Gets a Manual Transmission

35-Inch Tires And a 7-Speed Manual From The Factory. Yes Please!

2021 Bronco Sasquatch manual transmission

The mighty top-off-road-spec Sasquatch package for the 2021 Ford Bronco will get a third pedal and a stick. You can now order any model 2021 Ford Bronco with the Sasquatch package and a 7-speed manual transmission. Our driving enthusiast prayers have been answered!

Mark Grueber, Ford Bronco consumer marketing manager, says; “The Bronco community spoke and we heard them. Our team moved quickly to add Sasquatch with a manual transmission…”.

While the new Bronco hasn’t even hit dealer lots yet, Ford has answered the biggest complaint from fans and customers so far. During the vehicle’s unveiling event the only package that prevented you from getting a manual transmission was the top off-road-capable Sasquatch package.

The real question; was this just a marketing stunt by Ford and planned all along, or did they really add this option to the lineup after listening to fans and reservation holders? We might never know, but we’re happy this combo exists!

2021 Bronco Sasquatch Package

The Sasquatch package on the new Bronco is the pinnacle of off-road capability for the brand/vehicle in 2021. The package is available across every trim level of two- and four-door 2021 Bronco.

The 2021 Ford Bronco with Sasquatch package is in contention for the most capable factory off-road vehicle you can buy new. The package adds 35-inch mud-terrain tires on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. Those big wheels create a nearly 2-inch wider track width,  which requires wider fender flares. The package also adds a taller suspension that increases ground clearance and adds wheel travel. Front and rear e-lockers and a 4.7:1 final drive ratio is also standard on the Sasquatch package.

Bronco Model Lineup

The 2021 Bronco comes in a wide range of models; Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition. The Sasquatch package is available across all of these models, in both 2- and 4-door variants. The package comes standard on the Wildtrack and First Edition models.

For the ultimate off-road rock-crawler from the factory order a Badlands Bronco, which comes standard with a front stabilizer bar disconnect, with the Sasquatch package. For the ultimate control and driver-focused experience, you can now order this combo with a manual transmission.

“Capability is always a priority, and pairing Sasquatch with a manual transmission and available advanced 4×4 system gives it a maximum crawl ratio of 94.75:1, providing even more off-road capability across the line-up,” said Dave Pericak, Ford icons global director.

Pricing and Availablity

While you can expect to see First Edition Broncos on the road early next year, don’t expect manual transmission Sasquatch package vehicles until late 2021. We also don’t yet know how much all of this new Bronco goodness is going to really cost us, but full pricing is expected in October. In October the online “Bronco Build” configurator is also expected to go live, so you can at least virtually build out your dream Bronco.
