2021 Honda Accord: More Refinement But No Clutch Pedal

Honda Accord Continues To Offer More Value, Safety, Comfort, And Luxury

2021 Honda Accord

The 2021 Honda Accord hits dealer lots tomorrow, October 13th. This updated new sedan is all about small refinements across the board. The big loss, however, is no more rowing your own gears. For 2021 the Accord losses its manual transmission option.

Accord Refined

While there isn’t much new to talk about with the 2021 Honda Accord, there are lots of little upgrades that should make this quality sedan even more appealing. The new grille design is wider, more integrated, and bolder, but we’ll leave it up to you if it’s ‘better’ or not. The three new wheel designs all look quite good and compliment the new styling of the car.

Inside you now get a standard 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all trim levels. Add this to a few more USB plugs for all passengers, wireless charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on top trim levels and you’ve got a properly modern vehicle.

Refinement is the key to the new Honda Accord. Everything from smoother low-speed braking, a more linear throttle, and more refined and integrated driver assistance/safety features add value to the latest Accord.

2021 Honda Accord Models

The 2021 Honda Accord comes with three powertrain options; 1.5T, 2.0T, and Hybrid.

The 1.5L is a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with a CVT transmission putting down 192 hp and 192 lb.-ft. The 2.0L is also a turbocharged 4-cylinder but is backed with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and puts down 252 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hybrid Accord combines a 2.0L 4-cylinder with an electric motor to put down 212 hp and 232 lb.-ft. of torque. All powertrains in the 2021 Hond Accord take regular unleaded fuel and offer 100,000+ mile tune-up intervals, both of which should keep the cost of ownership low.

Bases prices for the 2021 Honda Accord models range from $26,000 to $37,000.

2021 Accord Hybrid

The Hybrid model is the 2021 Honda Accord you want. It gets an impressive 48 mpg out of its 2-motor hybrid system. It is also a second quicker to 60 mph than the 1.5T models. With prices starting as low as $27,325 (including destination charge) the 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid is an impressive value.

Accord Sport Special Edition

The Accord Sport Special Edition (SE) replaces EX 1.5T in the model lineup for 2021. Accord Sport SE offers the ultimate in luxury and comfort to the Accord Sport 1.5T grade. The Sport SE offers standard features like; leather seats, heated front seats, a four-way power passenger seat to complement the addition of a 12-way power driver’s seat, heated mirrors, Smart Entry, and remote engine start. Additionally, the Sport models, including the SE, still get you a rear trunk lid spoiler, 19-inch Sport wheels, LED fog lights, a dark-chrome grille, and chrome exhaust tips.

You get 35 mpg combined with the Accord Sport SE. Pricing starts at $29,675 for this already well-optioned sedan.
