Come To The Dark Side: 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition

New 2021 Merc Coupe & Roadster Offers More Power and Stealthy Special Edition

2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition

It’s good to have choices, Coupe or Roadster in this case. The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition is the machine to have if you’re Darth Vader or just want a super sleek, classy, dark, and handsome beast of a grand tourer.

2021 Mercedes-AMG GT

For 2021 all Mercedes-AMG GT two-door models get a power boost. The big handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo under the hood now puts out a massive 523 hp, 54 more than last year’s car. That power boost also means an even quicker sprint to 60 mph, now at 3.7 seconds, .2 seconds quicker than the 2020 car. Top speed is for the coupe is 194 mph, and 193  for the roadster.

Besides more power, the 2021 car is also packed with a ton more standard features. You now get AMG Ride Control, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, AMG high-performance composite braking system with red-painted calipers, a new lithium-ion starter battery, and the “RACE” drive program setting all as standard equipment.

2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition

The Stealth Edition is a new variant of the AMG GT Coupe and Roadster models for 2021. This special edition is all about blacked out everything. The car gets the full AMG Exterior Night Package treatment, including black calipers, dark chrome grille, black elements in the headlamps, and matte black Y-spoke wheels. It also gets a carbon-fiber roof with dark-tinted areas on the Coupe and a black soft top on the Roadster as well.

The car doesn’t have to be all black though, as you can choose between two black and two grey paint colors. Options are; black as standard, obsidian black metallic, selenite grey metallic, and designo graphite grey magno.

Inside the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition you get also get the blacked-out everything Night Package. Even the AMG performance seats and AMG steering wheel, including paddle shifters, are blacked out. Black piano lacquer, or optional carbon fiber/black piano lacquer, trim throughout the interior completes the stealth look. If all the black didn’t give it away, a special badge on the center console denotes that this AMG GT is the Stealth Edition.

How Much & When?

No price has been announced for the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT lineup yet. The 2020 cars start at about $190,000, but many are in the $220,000 range. We’d expect the special Stealth Edition to be considerably more than that.

You should see both the Coupe and Roadster hitting U.S. dealers in early 2021. We’d suggest you start asking around now if you want to snag one of the Stealth Editions, as they are sure to sell quick.
