Nissan 240SX Drag Car Pushing 1600 HP
Published December 5, 2015
This Nissan is equipped with a Nitrous-fed inline six-cylinder that is pushing approximately 1600 horses and has defeated several big-block V-8 competitors. This mighty little Nissan definitely holds its own on the track up against the larger; but sometimes less powerful motors. It may be small; but it is definitely strong and sometimes almost uncontrollable. Sliding sideways on the track is a common occurrence for this little beast.
This 2JZ is equipped with a massive 88mm turbocharger that is assisted by nitrous to get the full potential and then some out of the straight six power plant. This combination generates between 1500 and 1600 horsepower depending on the nitrous dose that is applied. The hood mounted exhaust turns into a flame thrower as this Nissan accelerates down the track.
Due to the overall weight of the car and the excessive horsepower there are some traction issues from time to time. Regardless; the driver manages to get it straight down the track safely unlike some of his competitors.
This 2JZ Nissan 240SX puts on a pretty good show and definitely keeps up with; and sometimes destroys the big block V-8s it goes up against on a regular basis. This Nissan does have traction issues; but as you will see in the video it is not the only car out there with some serious traction problems.
