700 Horsepower Plus Performance Package for Ford Mustangs
Published May 24, 2016
World renown UK tuner Clive Sutton has developed four new performance tuning packages for the Ford Mustang. Each package exhibits a different budget and performance level to satisfy all Mustang enthusiasts preferences. Of course, each level of performance raises the budget because more horsepower will cost more money. The tuner has geared these packages towards the European market and they include one 4-cylinder upgrade and three 8-cylinder options.
The entry-level package is the CS350 with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that generates 330 horsepower. The modifications to accomplish this mission include a cold air intake and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.
The first V-8 option is the CS500 package for the Mustang GT that features a 5.0-liter engine that generates 440 horsepower. These modifications are similar to the previous package incorporating a cold air intake and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.
The real horsepower begins with the CS700 package for the Mustang GT that features a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 645 horsepower. This was achieved by adding a Whipple supercharger and an upgraded intercooler.
Last but not least; is an additional upgrade to the CS700 package boosting it to the over 700 horsepower. This was accomplished by the addition of a larger throttle body, a high-performance pulley and upgraded fuel injectors.
Appearance packages are also available that take the concept of carbon fiber accents to a whole new level. This package incorporates a carbon fiber hood, front splitter, rear window covers, side skirts, rear spoiler and more.
The folks at Sutton did not forget the suspension, braking or tunes. Other available options include a high-performance braking system, a KW coilover suspension, and a premium audio system.
