BAIC B40 ‘Wrangler’ Finally Sees Production Lines

Published September 18, 2012

In 2018 China Car Times was acquired by Autowise. This article originally appeared on ChinaCarTimes.com.

The B40 SUV from BAIC has been a will they, wont they situation since news of the vehicle first aired in around 2009, BAIC have always said they would produce the Mitsubishi powered vehicle but until it now it remained an enigma, hidden away in BAICs HQ, although we have seen it road testing at least a dozen times.

The B40 is now seeing production lines, pictures of the brochure have been leaked, which can only mean an auto show launch in the next few months, possibly at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. How will the Chinese Wrangler be priced? We can hope for prices in the sub 200,000RMB area but Beijing Auto were selling the civilian version of the PLA Military vehicle for well over 250,000RMB, so we will have to wait and see.
