Best 9 Convertibles For Under $50,000
The Best Newer Model Convertibles Your Money Can Buy
Updated November 18, 2018
For many people, owning a convertible is on the bucket list. The problem is not too many people make this dream a reality. The main reason (and probably the only one) is that convertibles can be rather pricey. With that in mind, we decided to do our research and find the best sporty cars with removable tops, which you can get for less than 50 grand.
#1. Audi A3 Cabriolet – $36,600
The first car on our list is the Audi A3 Cabriolet. The car seems as a bargain, taking into consideration its performances, high-quality interior and appealing sporty look. For a bit over $36k, you can get an A3 with a 2.0-liter-engine.
#2. BMW 228i Convertible – $38,650
Similar to the previous item on the list, this BMW has all a convertible needs. Its design is awesome, same as its performances. The best thing about it is that you can get it fairly cheaply. If you decide on purchasing the Track Handling Package as well, you can be sure you’ll own the best 2 Series car on the market.
#3. Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible – $44,295
The Chevrolet Camaro is one of the most iconic American cars of all times and this one comes in a version with a soft top. It’s more expensive than the previous two cars on our list, but there are numerous reasons that justify its price. The reason why we’d love to own it is its immense power.
#4. Fiat 124 Abarth – $28,195
Same as always, Italian designers did an excellent job, making the Fiat 124 Abarth one of the most attractive cars on our list. It’s also one of the most affordable, but that doesn’t mean its performances are not as good as those of other cars from the list. In fact, the Fiat sports a turbocharged engine, capable of producing 164-horsepower.
#5. Fiat 500C Abarth – $26,695
Another Fiat on our list is not a sporty model, per se, but still can produce impressive performances. If you like the look of this car and have an extra $26,695, then nothing’s stopping you from buying it.
#6. Ford Mustang GT Convertible – $42,145
Here’s another American muscle car on our list. The Ford Mustang does cost more than most of other convertibles on our list, but it also has more things to offer. The first thing that comes to mind when talking about this car is its power. Mustang’s V6 engine is powerful enough to produce 435 horsepower that can make it accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
#7. Mazda Miata – $24,915
This car is the most affordable car on our list. But the fact that you can get it for less than 25 grand doesn’t mean that the Mazda Miata is lacking performances. On the contrary, this convertible is a fun two-seater that’s agile and quick.
#8. Mini Cooper Convertible – $25,950
Although this car isn’t the most powerful, nor the fastest, no one can deny it’s charming. It seems everyone loves the Mini, even those who don’t care too much about cars. The basic version costs a bit north of $25k. If you’re looking for a more powerful machine, you can pay extra and get the Copper S or even the John Cooper Works edition.
#9. Nissan 370 Z Roadster – $41,820
The Nissan roadster was first introduced in 2009, so it might seem to you as a bit outdated. We disagree, believing that this is one of the best cars of its sort you can find on market, both when it comes to the performances and the looks.
