Burnt But Salvageable Lambo Murcielago For Sale For 17k
Would you dare to take on this Murcielago?

eBay had a really strange and interesting listing the other day. The owner of s totally burnt up Murcielago published his car on eBay trying to sell it. While it is still something of a mystery how did the Lambo actually burn up, its price isn’t? The owner seeks a buyer who is willing to cash out almost $17K for the burnt car. In his own words – this is perfect for a project car. After all, the owner is confident someone keen enough may actually salvage the frame and use it. Also, he throws in the doors and door panels, which, again, can be salvaged.
This Lambo Murcielago Could Become Something Really Cool
Now, giving out more than 16k for a wreck like this would probably be a poor choice. On the other hand, if that someone gets enough cheap parts, then the creation of a new Lambo Murcielago based on top of this frame isn’t entirely out of question. That, however, is highly unlikely.
If the frame really is salvageable, crafting some sort of special machines (drag racer, off-road buggy, rat rod kinda a thing), would be much a better choice. The damage here was huge. Not only was this the Lambo Murcielago, but this particular car is the latter model – the Murcielago LP640 produced in 2008. Our little search revealed to us that a car like this – in good condition, would reach a price of $230,000 on the used cars market. We can see someone making something awesome out of this for much less, but then again, who would dare!?
As a refresher, the Lamborghini Murcielago is the predecessor of the Aventador. The car powered by the 6.5 V12 engine appeared back in 2003. It was the first full-fledged big Lambo after Audi took over the company. The LP640 was one of the last models available and it was the epitome of a supercar back in the day. With 640hp on tap, the car easily accelerated to 62 mph in about three seconds. At the far end, it can hit a top speed of more than 205 mph.
