Castaldi’s Maserati Hommage Is From 2049
Rendered Maserati Hommage Paid Us A Visit From The Future

Ok, you may be fed up with all the renderings of cars of the future, but this particular Maserati Hommage for 2049 is simply awesome. The car here is envisioned by the rendering artist, car lover and Behance designer Francesco Gastaldi. He thought of the perfect Maserati for 2049. As a continuation of the Gran Turismo series of cars, the Castaldi Maserati Hommage is imagined to make a debut at the 2049 Concorso d’eleganza Villa d’este. Ok, all of this is a stretch but you may think of this as a short sci-fi story. So, in this sci-fi automotive world, Maserati crafted a rather sleek curvaceous car with some obvious Maserati-inspired design causes of today.
Maserati Hommage With An Intricate Design
The most impressive novelty on it is its long, swoopy glass roof which provides an awesome look inside the cabin. Massive glass segment acts as a windshield, roof, and rear windshield. In some sense, it looks like a canopy on a plane.
We remember that time when European Peugeot revealed their rally car concept with a glass roof. It looked cool, but rally driver would have a tough time keeping it intact. That roof evolved to become the Panorama rooftop. Could this canopy like thing on this Maserati concept be as adventurous?
Now, we are not sure if Gastaldi actually virtually tested the aerodynamics of the Maserati Hommage, but it sure looks like he did. The car has an almost flat front end without much creases. Something we would expect on modern electric cars. Also, rear end features an integrated spoiler which sticks out a bit. It will provide downforce, but also settle hard vortexes of air behind the car. Smart.
Nevertheless, this is just an imagined concept which, luckily, gives us a glimpse into the future. And it will be a beautiful future for sure.
