Chelsea Truck Company Introduces the “Black Hawk” CJ300 Jeep Wrangler

Updated February 7, 2017

The Project Kahn’s Chelsea Truck Company division has introduced the CJ300 Black Hawk tuning package for Jeep Wranglers. The majority of their builds are Defenders and Wranglers with a limited production. The Black Hawk is a prime example that will be limited to fifty vehicles. All of these special edition Wranglers will be identified with a numbered plaque. With this unique body style the plaque is just a formality because the Black Hawk edition will be very easy to identify at the first glance.

Project Kahn is known for its bold wide body construction and this Jeep is a prime example of this concept. The front and rear fenders incorporate huge custom fender extensions to create a bold and aggressive appearance. The fender extensions have a unique design with built-in vents. The custom front and rear bumpers are much wider than the original bumpers to protect these extreme body modifications. The added wheel well space is filled with huge aggressive Cooper Discovery all-terrain tires. The new rubber is mounted on black satin wheels with an open design to display the gold brake calipers. Additional exterior enhancements include upgraded LED lighting, a custom mesh grille, custom step rails and a custom Chelsea Truck Company spare tire cover.

The folks at Chelsea definitely did not forget the interior of the Black Hawk incorporating a complete leather upgrade package. The package includes every aspect of the interior including custom seats, armrests, counsel and a unique roll bar cover.

A Kahn power upgrade package is also available to enhance the performance level of the stock 2.8-liter diesel engine. The unit is plugged into the ECU to provide more power and enhance fuel economy.

The cost of the CJ300 Jeep Wrangler Black Hawk special edition will start at approximately 77,000 dollars.

The Car scene is so diverse Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota's and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.

At Autowise, we envision ourselves as not just a automobile blog or an automobile news website, instead we see our website as a platform to connect all automobile enthusiast and provide them with all the information they need.
