The Chery QQ is the quint essential car of the Chinese auto market, when it first aired in 2003 it became the scapegoat of all Chinese copying to date, it quickly disappeared from the global public eye but it became a bread and butter car for Chery who continued producing around 10,000 units per month right up until 2013. In 2013 the New QQ arrived, but thats not to say the Old QQ is gone from the dealerships, that will still carry on as the QQ3 name. The New QQ is a cheerful little car, especially in its bright color range that were present in Shanghai.

Power for this little car comes from an uprated 1.0L 69bhp unit paired with AMT and 5 speed manual gearboxes, the highlight is of course the pricing that comes at just 37,900RMB and rises to 46,900RMB for the top of the range AMT version. The QQ3 (the old one) is cheaper at 26,800RMB for the base 800CC (58bhp!) and rises to 37,900RMB for the 1.0L sports model. Chery also have an electric QQ that can be had for 44,800RMB in certain cities, government subsidies will likely take care of a large chunk of that cars price and you will get free plates if you buy later this year in Beijing or Shanghai.
