Chinese Camry to look a little different to its American cousin
Published August 25, 2011
The American version of the Camry has been grabbing headlines all week long in the US of A, the latest incarnation of the worlds most popular mid size sedan was revealed to an excited American public earlier this week, but it seems that the Chinese Camry and the US Camry will have some minor differences when they both make it to dealerships.
The Chinese one seems to have minor changes around the front fog lights that has turned them from diaganol into sweet little round buttons, on the inside the two Camrys look quite similar, but look closely at the central area and you will see that the GPS buttons are different and the Chinese version doesnt have any drinks holders. The Communists stole our drinks holders!
A Guangzhou Auto Show is being put down as a potential launch date for the Camry, and it will likely be made via the Guangzhou-Toyota joint venture partnership in early 2013.
Two Camrys will also be sold side by side in the Chinese market, the older Camry will become known as the Camry Classical.
