DIY Kit Converts Miata To Industrial Kit Car

This Miata Kit Car Is A Little Different To The Usual Ones You See

Updated October 4, 2018

There’s a rad DIY little kit car gracing the internet with it’s presence. Created by SalvageWon, this purchasable kit gives you everything needed to turn a Mazda Miata into a sick little streamlined kit car called an Eliminator V2. Only taking the driveline, suspension and engine (Obviously the engine specs of the final product depend on the components from the original Miata considering that they have changed a bit over the years). The body and cage are attached to the chassis, adding on a significant amount of weight onto the original Miata (from 1000 lbs up to almost 1700) and turning it into a raceable autocross 4 wheeler go cart.

According to Salvagewon’s personal Facebook page, depending on what state you live in this vehicle could be fully street legal. Despite the popularity of this product, at this time they are only taking orders for the kit. I look forward to seeing more creations from Salvagewon in the future.

The Car scene is so diverse Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota's and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.

At Autowise, we envision ourselves as not just a automobile blog or an automobile news website, instead we see our website as a platform to connect all automobile enthusiast and provide them with all the information they need.
