The neatly designed Dongfeng Fengshen is set to come down the production line later this month according to media reports.

The first set of Feng Shen cars will be powered by a 1.6L engine which will produce 78kW/5750rpm, it is currently unknown if this particular engine is produced in house by Dongfeng, or if it is a bought in unit from a third party.

Dongfeng is also expected to produce a mild hybrid version of the Feng Shen, which will be based around stop/start technology (i.e. a bigger alternator motor).

CCT is not well schooled in this particular car, questions such as what platform is it based on, and who the engine is from, and which sales network will it be sold through, have not been answered by our contacts at Dongfeng, any information regarding the above would be much appreciated.
