Dongfeng Kia to launch SLc crossover in October this year

Dongfeng Kia are set to launch a new made in China SUV in October this year according to a media event. According to the vice president of sales, Mr. çŽæ¦æŽ Wang Dun Ming, Kia will produce the crossover in summer this year and will hit the market in October.

The SLc will not replace the Kia Sportage, but will run alongside it instead, and will be placed above the Sportage but below the recently launched Sorento SUV. The SLc will be aimed at buyers aged 25-35, although pricing has yet to be announced, it is likely to be sold in the 180,000rmb to 250,000rmb bracket as to avoid overlap between the Sportage and the Sorento.
