The Everus brand is Honda and Guangzhou Autos self developed brand to take on the lower segment of the market, the line up will be making full use of Hondas mature technology and will be recycling it for use within the brand. The first model to fall into the Everus brand will be the last generation Honda City, which we have already seen after it was aired at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late 2010.

The Everus will enter production on March 26th 2011 and is currently undergoing some last minute changes to make it more suitable to Chinese tastes. For those naysayers that say it is a bit of badge engineering at best, Honda have apparently made substantial changes to the cars interior and front end.

According to media reports, Honda are aiming for the S1 to become the Chinese peoples car, although that crown has more than likely been stolen by the Chery QQ.
