Fiat Chrysler recalled 1.4 million of its Ram Pickups

Due to growing concerns about unwanted accidents taking place, the U.S based car manufacturer, Fiat Chrysler has announced that it is recalling nearly 1.4 million Ram pickups in the U.S. as well as Canada.
These unwanted accidents occur because even when the trucks are moving there is a possibility of that tailgates with power locks can open.
As per reports, the recalls will include the Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups ranging from the year 2015 models through the 2017 models.
The company revealed that as per the U.S. and Canadian government documents, it is said that if the tailgates open while on the road, unsecured cargo could fall which could lead to fatal accidents.
Significantly the car manufacturer, Fiat Chrysler claims that till date it has not received any reports of any crashes or injuries. However, according to U.S. documents, it says that the FCA has received nearly 5,800 complaints and warranty claims in regards to the tailgates with power locks problem.
It was also revealed that owners will not have to pay anything as Dealers would be fixing the tailgate locking mechanism free of cost. Fiat Chrysler has announced that the recall will begin from Sept. 14.
