Finally, HJC Brings Us The Ghost Rider & Deadpool Motorcycle Helmets

The HJC Deadpool Motorcycle Helmet Looks Pretty Damn Cool

Updated August 20, 2018

HJC are adding Deadpool and Ghost Rider to their themed helmet collection. And about time too! Over the past couple of years, HJC have been developing new innovative ways to tempt people into wearing proper protective motorcycle helmets. They’ve worked hard to secure the rights enabling them to produce good quality helmets themed like our favorite superheroes. They’ve got plenty of cool Marvel heroes already on the market, and a couple of classic Star Wars themed lids to keep us interested, but now they’ve unveiled the ones we’ve really been waiting for…

Introducing The Ghost Rider And  Deadpool Motorcycle Helmet

Ghost Rider & Deadpool Motorcycle Helmet 1

In my opinion, the Star Wars Boba Fett one was the best…but that’s probably because I’ve been living under a rock and haven’t actually ever seen Ghost Rider or Deadpool. Now, don’t think I’m not qualified to talk about the two heroes and use phrases like “what we’ve been waiting for” because of that – I’m well aware of how much of a cult following those two characters have. I’ve endured enough “Eurghs” after interjecting midway between many a conversation that I haven’t actually seen the movies to know that they’re both a pretty big deal. So, without further ado…

The Deadpool motorcycle helmet is based around HJC’s IS-17 model. It comes with all of the necessary safety requirements to satisfy international laws, and come with the added bonus of a drop down sun shield on the inside. The paintwork features a textured matte red finish and the all-important Deadpool-style large black eyes. Deadpool is such a well-referenced character that even an idiot like me could probably pull off wearing this one.

The Ghost Rider helmet is based around the HJC fiberglass FG-17. It doesn’t specify whether it comes with the drop down sun shield but even if it doesn’t, it’s a small price to pay considering how awesome the paintwork is. Again, I’m aware enough of the Ghost Rider franchise to know that it ticks all the right boxes in the flames, skulls and chains department – and to be honest, even to a non-fan, it looks particularly appealing. If skulls and shit are your thing, of course.

Cool graphics and safety features aside, there’s another nice thing about these HJC helmets: they’re very affordable. The Deadpool motorcycle helmet is priced at a very tempting $299, and the Ghost Rider helmet comes with a price tag of $309. They’re cheap and effective. I can say this because I genuinely do wear HJC helmets. I haven’t got a themed one though…yet. Again, Boba Fett might be on the cards.

And if not Boba Fett, Deadpool or Ghost Rider, it seems that HJC have got even more ideas in the pipeline. So if your favorite superhero hasn’t made an appearance yet, don’t worry! Because they’ll be making an appearance soon. Just wait and see.

About Joe Appleton

I’ve done a bit of work here and there in the industry – I’ve even ridden a few bikes for actual money but what it comes down to is this: I ride bikes, build bikes and occasionally crash ‘em too. I like what I like but that certainly doesn’t make my opinion any more valid than yours…
