Five Awesome Cars Rumored To Come Out in 2013

Updated November 22, 2013

There are usually very few cars introduced in a given year to get excited about but it is looking like 2013 is going to be the exception. While it seems as if the compact and economy cars are the latest trend, there is also a new player who was once a renowned muscle car. Here is a list of the top 5 cars that most people are going to get excited about for the 2013 model year.

Let the countdown begin!

5. Ford C-Max

The all-new C-Max is bringing competition to the long running Toyota Prius. Both cars look similar on the outside and both can see up to 47 miles per gallon but Ford has heard the complaints about the lack of power and technology in the Prius models. The C-Max offers a 2.0L Turbocharged 4 cylinder engine that has more power than most expect out of a hybrid.

4. Porsche Macan

The 911 has grown up. The Porsche Macan is set to arrive sometime in the fall of 2013, just in time for the 2014 model year so the German automaker is being very hush hush about the newest addition. What we do know is that the Macan is going to be a crossover that is based on the Audi Q5, although Porsche is insistent that the two are going to be very different.

3. Mercedes-Benz CLA

The Mercedes-Benz CLA is the all-new compact Mercedes that is said to hit the dealerships sometime in 2013. This may be a compact but it is still a Mercedes with its 300 horsepower 4 cylinder engine combined with the All Wheel Drive technology. The price tag is also expected to be in line with other Mercedes models as it is rumored to start around $40,000.

2. Jaguar F-Type Roadster

Sports car enthusiasts will rally around the F-Type Roadster; the latest in Jaguar’s lineup of luxury cars. This roadster is said to give tough competition to other roadsters in its class including the Porsche Boxter. The supercharged 3.0L V6 engine is said to reach up to 360 horsepower which will give the driver a healthy combination of power an efficiency.

1. Dodge Dart

The Dart may be an old muscle car but the all new design is worth mentioning in any top new cars for 2013 list. While the old was big and bulky with a large engine that sucked the gas, the new Dart cannot be more different. It is considered a compact car although there is plenty of room for a family of 5 while it gets up to 37 miles per gallon with the standard 4 cylinder engine. With even the loaded up Dart only reaching just above $25,000, this is one of the most affordable and attractive new cars to be released during the 2013 model year.

With all of these cars on tap to be released either for the 2013 model year or sometime in 2013, it is easy to see that the auto industry is finally making a comeback. The new models in 2013 will have something for every taste and every budget.

The Car scene is so diverse Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota's and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.

At Autowise, we envision ourselves as not just a automobile blog or an automobile news website, instead we see our website as a platform to connect all automobile enthusiast and provide them with all the information they need.
