Ford Confirmed The 2018 Shelby GT350 In Communication With Its Dealers
Published January 5, 2017
We are getting the 2018 Shelby GT350. Ok, not us, but Ford will make this muscle car available for the MY2018. All the dealers around the country have to order their cars by February 27, 2017. Orders are open now, so better hurry, as it seems that this car is in a limited production of some sort.
According to the official document an enthusiast from the Mustang 6G saw earlier, the new 2018 Shelby GT350 won’t bring anything revolutionary. Actually, the car will continue in the same breath as the 2017 model. However, we can expect new finish options including the “Orange Fury” and “Lead Foot Gray.”
Although this sounds a bit sad, it actually isn’t mainly because we can expect much more novelties for the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. Some did expect to see a double clutch transmission. Strange for a track-ready muscle car? This won’t happen next year, but DCT could show up as an option in 2018. Furthermore, we assume the facelifted Mustang will donate some of the newly developed features to the 2019 Shelby GT350 as well. In that case, we will know a lot more about the whole endeavor when Ford releases the updated car. We might even see it at the NAIAS in January.
The car will look a bit different, probably lose the 3.7 liter V6, but gain a new transmission. 10 gears in a Mustang! Is it a bit too much!? We’ll see.
