The bounty? $590,000 worth of iPhones.
Unlike a Fast and Furious movie however, the robber’s story doesn’t have a happy ending. After pulling off as many as 17 heists, the gang was recently apprehended by Dutch authorities. As for the phones, they were found stashed away at the clan’s hideout in the Netherlands.
The group may be facing hard time, but at least their prison sentence will be severed with a side of fame. The gang even brought their country some recognition when the Dutch press dubbed the strategy the “Romanian Method”.
Who knows – maybe if they get out early for good behavior, the crooks might score a role in the next Fast and Furious movie. Hollywood is always looking for good stuntmen.
