Geely to produce six speed auto gearbox

Geely, along with Chery and Shengrui, have strong plans for their own gearbox line up in 2010 and 2011. Shengrui recently launched their 8 speed unit, Chery launched their CVT unit over the weekend, and Geely joined the fray this morning with the six speed auto box to the left.

Geelys gearbox comes from its Australian gearbox company, DSI Transmissions, that it bought early last year and gave it a massive jump in the autobox markets. The new gearbox is likely to be featured on around 9 different models from next year onwards, and another 7 speed model is currently in development.
