Last year we approached on Great Walls plans to take the Haval range off into its own brand and possibly in its own network of dealerships. Why Great Wall wishes to do this is still a mystery, Chery previously set up its own sub brands which completely bombed and are in the process of bringing them back into the Chery brand.

Will Haval be a success? Will it take away the emphasis from the rest of the GWM range?

GWM will announce its brand strategy at the Shanghai Auto Show next month.
