Honda Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog in the Best Way Possible – Releasing a Themed Sedan

If you were born in the 90s, your childhood was probably marked by Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog. The iconic video game left such a deep mark in the hearts of those who played it that Honda decided to celebrate its 25th Anniversary by releasing a one-off Sonic-themed Civic Sedan. There’s probably no more suitable event for the Sonic the Hedgehog car to debut than this year’s San Francisco Comic-Con.
If you think all they did was to paint the lead character all over the car, you are very mistaken. This Civic Touring Sedan was customized by the Fox Marketing Cars company from Pennsylvania, who tuned it up with lots of gadgets, all fit so they could match Sonic the Hedgehog style. Wheels for example, were painted in order to look like Sonic’s red shoes, as well the gold rings that the character’s collecting. On top of that, they added a vinyl wrap, a black grille, and a Honda badge pained yellow.
According to Honda, the car’s interior is even more impressive than its paint scheme. Apparently, the seats are covered in expensive Katzkin blue leather and all feature a Sonic the Hedgehog logo. Still, the thing that catches the eye the most when it comes to the inside of the Honda is the powerful Rockford Fosgate audio/video set, back in the trunk. The system is made of a 32-inch TV for playing the game, but that’s far from being all. It also has two 500-watt subwoofers, both 10 inches large, as well as two 400-watt amplifiers.
