Ken Block’s 845 HP Retro Mustang “Hoonicorn RTR” For Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7
Check Out The Beastly Mustang Hoonicorn!
Updated September 25, 2018
All Gear Heads look forward to SEMA and the often over the top modified cars that presented to. Though often ridiculous, many are astonishing and make our heads turn faster than any beautiful booty could. As we we clean the drool off our chins and shirts, lets take a look at one that really stands out this year which is a 845 HP 1965 Ford Mustang known as the Hoonicorn RTR.
This is going to be the beast Ken Block uses in Gymkhana 7 and he has already stated his stoke with the car. Since he decided to go with a Mustang there was obviously only one place to go, Vaughn Gittin JR and famous RTR team. No surprise that we were not let down, nor was Ken Block as he was quoted saying this is the best Gymkhana vehicle to date.
These pretty pictures are great but lets talk details. Nothing less than a 6.7 liter v8 engine, that’s right, a Roush-Yates 410 cubic-inch engine. It only took 2 years to build at North Carolina’s ASD Motorsports under the assistance of RTR. Not to mention Sadev AWD which was specked specifically for the Hoonicorn RTR along with a 6 speed transmission.
Why stop there? She needed to look beautiful as well which came in the form of a little inspiration from WRC and DTM in the form of mean looking body work and graphics so scary sick they will make your momma cry.
Since this Hoonicorn RTR is the sickest 65 Mustang I have seen and maybe of all generations when it comes to heavy tuning, I’m asking Ken Block to hurry up with the release of Gymkhana 7 as I’ll be waiting on the edge of my seat.
