Lamborghini Huracan Supercharged For 2.5-Second 0-62 mph Run
There Aren’t Many Cars that can Compete with Something This Hot
Published October 30, 2017
The 5.2-liter V10 from the Huracan and the Audi R8 seems to be a perfect piece for aftermarket upgrades. Underground Racing made a whole series of extremely powerful cars which even took some serious standing ½ mile records. Including this one, where their 2,500hp Lambo Huracan reached 247.25 mph at a ½ mile, setting a new world record. This time, however, I am giving you a glimpse of a new tuning package for the Huracan LP610-4. In this case, Swiss tuners at O.CT decided to make a Huracan supercharged that is faster than a frickin’ V12 Aventador S.
Most importantly, the mid-engined supercar had to gain more power. For that reason, O.CT decided to go with one supercharger which, obviously, had the most to do with the massive 193 hp gain. In order to make it work well with the engine, O.CT reprogrammed the ECU, installed a new exhaust, improved cooling and did some work with the intakes.
Not only did horsepower surge to 794 hp, but the engine now disposes of with 597 lb-ft of torque, too.
Huracan Supercharged Faster Than Any Other Stock Lamborghini on Sale
Coupled with the all-wheel-drive system, launch control, and a lightning-fast transmission, the O.CT Lamborghini Huracan supercharged can do hypercar-worthy 0-62 mph passes. It will reach the speed from a standing start in only 2.5 seconds. Finally, something to compare with the Ludicrous Tesla. It will probably beat anything from a McLaren 720S to a Ferrari LaFerrari, to boot. Save for the Challenger Demon, the Chiron and maybe – just maybe – the 918 Spyder.
124 mph can be cracked in 8.3 seconds. Again, faster than the aforementioned Aventador S. The big boy with the V12 does it in 8.8 seconds.
O.CT’s custom exhaust actually lowered the weight a little bit. It is 44 lbs lighter compared to the stock unit, but considering the added hardware under the bonnet, we doubt that the car is any lighter than the stock model.
In fact, it did receive new shoes as well. 20 inch at the front and 21-inch at the back.
Expectedly, the same tuning compressor kit is available with the Audi R8 – the Huracan’s more-affordable brother.
