MG CS SUV Appears Prior to Shanghai Auto Show

Published April 11, 2013

In 2018 China Car Times was acquired by Autowise. This article originally appeared on ChinaCarTimes.com.

The MG6 came and it impressed, it didnt sell overly well when compared to rivals such as the Ford Focus, but it impressed. Then the MG3 came and brought volume to the MG brand. Then the MG5 came and everyone wondered what went so wrong, the Five had the front end of the modern MG range but it lacked the MG feel, likely due to its anemic engine choice which will be remedied with the addition of a 1.5T and a dual clutch gearbox at the Shanghai Auto Show.

The MG Icon SUV appeared in Beijing earlier this year which threw some design ideas back to the MG Midget, it was a bit of a hit and miss design but that concept has gone through the refining machine and the CS is what came out at the other end. Actual information on the concept such as proposed engines and transmissions havent yet been revealed so we can only presume that Shanghai Auto Show will be the launch pad for this new handsome looking Concept SUV.
