Karma – Moped Racing At It’s Finest, Where Dirty Tactics Rule Supreme (Video)
When Moped Racing Gets Serious…
MotoGP and World Superbikes might be more prestigious, but Indonesian moped racing has some unexpected thrills – with dirty tactics being the norm. In this video from the 2017 Bondowoso Road Race in Java, Indonesia there’s definitely enough action to keep you entertained for the next two minutes. In fact, if you’re really looking for something unusual to fill that MotoGP shaped void between now and the start of the 2018 championship, a search through South East Asian racing series results leads to some very interesting places, with nail biting moped races, good old school two-stroke battles, and no shortage of dirty tactics being employed. It’s not always legal, but boy is it watchable.
Moped Racing Takes Revenge To A New Level
Talking of dirty tactics, that’s exactly what we have in this video below. Early on in this pretty basic race we have one racer already down at the side of the track being lifted to safety by the crowd. Seconds later, we encounter our main characters. These two races are desperately vying for position, and it’s neck and neck until one racer decides to settle the matter with brute force, shouldering the other rider into the barrier, suffering a nasty crash.
Unfortunately, our aggressive rider didn’t expect his victim to get up so quickly. After dusting himself off and regaining his wits, the crashed rider decides to deliver a bit of justice to his sneaky rival. In what can only be described as the most un-stealthy revenge, the crashed rider makes his way to the track divide and picks up a bag of something* and throws it right into the path of his attacker. It’s all dangerous stuff, and it’s never sporting to force another rider to crash…but there’s something about this revenge which is kind of sweet…take a look below.
*Bag of something. We’re not sure what, but it was light enough to throw and heavy enough to take down a moped…any guesses?
