Dongfeng Nissan launched the latest generation of the Nissan Sunny sedan earlier today at the Guangzhou Auto Show and made way for the future Nissan Versa sedan in the USA if you believe the rumors. The new Sunny is based on the new Micra platform which is presumably lengthened to build the compact sedan which is now Nissans global compact car and should be released in quite a few different markets the world round.

In the Chinese market it is expected that the Sunny will become Nissans compact sedan whilst the Nissan Tiida will become the line ups compact hatchback and thus wont be available in notchback sedan form as before.

The new Sunny is being compared to a mini Nissan Teana in terms of styling, although to CCTs eyes it looks a little uncomfortable in terms of its styling although it will look different once it hits the roads and is mixed up with other cars on the roads, the styling could be compared to the Toyota Vios.
