Porsche 911 Takes Down Car Wash Roof
Updated May 29, 2015
My, my! That’s a bit of a ding you’ve got there, Mr. Taylor.
Job Taylor, 73, had just gone into the Olde Cape Car Wash to book an appointment for detailing his 2014 Porsche 911 convertible. My guess is that the appointment wasn’t soon enough for him…
Taylor got into his car after booking the appointment and as he was driving away, he claims the accelerator stuck. He states that he tried three times to brake but could not get the car to stop before it rammed a support post for the car wash’s lean-to canopy.
The support post gave way, and the manager of the car wash rushed out to give assistance. With his help, Mr. Taylor got out of the Porsche just before the canopy roof fell down onto the convertible.
He was treated at the scene for minor injuries, and police are investigating whether or not the accelerator did indeed stick.
I think someone is going to miss their detailing appointment.
