The Porsche Targa Exclusive Edition will knock your socks off while it pushes you back into your seat

So what about the Porsche 911 Targa!? They are the heaviest of the lot, but, questionable, are the coolest as well. Few cars can capture such a strong retro spirit and integrate it so perfectly into modern shapes. That is why the Targa Porsche 911 still has the fantastic pedigree and a lot of fans who keep it alive. Porsche greeted us with the Exclusive 911 Targa 4S – the latest version of the noble Targa line of Porsche 911 vehicles. So, everything that Porsche stands for is here only accentuated and perfected. The Exclusive division in Porsche is similar to the SVO of Jaguar Land Rover, or Individual of BMW.
We have even seen that magnificent new Porsche Exclusive Panamera a few days ago. Now, however, Porsche Exclusive crafted the car for unveiling at the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. Here, many of the most important classic cars will make an appearance. Is there a better way to welcome them all than with a special edition 911 Targa? The process of making Porsche Exclusive cars is rather simple. After production, Porsche Exclusive team simply takes the cars off the line and starts with the hand built process. They, more or less, take off the stuff they don’t like and integrate hand-made parts.
In this case, the Porsche Exclusive 911 Targa 4S received an all new color called Etna Blue. This is the same color which was available for the 1960 and 1961 356B. So-called Gold Metallic paint covers all other surfaces such as the roll hoop, side stripes, and 20-inch RS Spyder wheels. That is almost all that separates the Exclusive from non-exclusive Targa.
There are some new features on the inside as well. Most importantly, opened doors reveal welcoming sight with a black, anodized stainless steel doorsill. It certainly says a lot about exclusivity. On the other hand, the inside of the Porsche Targa Exclusive Edition is garnished with simple, yet wonderful Graphite-Blue leather upholstery with Provence Blue stitching. Sure, the Sports Seats Plus (standard for this car) covered with this leather look more like they belong in a retro car and that is actually amazing.
The newest Porsche 911 Targa 4S is an all modern sports car. The three-liter engine inside develops 420 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. Easily enough to make it super quick off the line. The Porsche Targa Exclusive Edition needs 3.8 seconds to hit 62 mph, which is faster than what the 612 hp Porsche Carrera GT could do almost 15 years ago.
Interestingly enough, once this car is purchased, Porsche will also provide the buyer with a wonderful photo-album documenting the development process. “Behind the scenes” pictures included. This Porsche Targa Exclusive Edition will land in the US too, but even Porsche spokesperson Frank Wiesmann remained secretive about the production numbers. All we know is that the Porsche Exclusive 911 Targa 4S will be produced “in a very limited number.”
