Renderings Of The Next Gen Nissan GT-R

Published January 15, 2016

When the R35 GT-R arrived on the scene in the states, it was sort of a Michael Phelps of cars. It was an utmost competitor against its rivals and there was no doubt that talent oozed from it, but you simply could not get over that grille, that face, that semblance of sloth that lurked at you. In simple terms, it was fugly. (Sorry for the analogy Michael, you still have way more gold medals than I)

Since 2007, the GT-R has improved upon itself and its handling, there was even a refresh on the front fascia which did help. It is understandable that when engineers design cars, the looks come from designers trying to hide the bobs and bits behind, whereas car designers design first and tell the engineers to cram all the guts in whilst the designer goes and gets their latte enima.

The GT-R is a staple of Nissan-Renault-Datsun etc, etc and the company certainly wants to make the next generation GT-R have as much positive impact on the GearHead community as the last one. So we have gathered a few renderings from around the web and brought them to you. Tell us what you think about em and the future of the Nissan GT-R R36?
