Motorcycle Shoes With Brake Lights? Awesome Idea!
The Roame Zeros Are Could Be The Best Motorcycle Boots For Getting Seen In!

If you thought shoes with lights in were reserved for kids, think again. These awesome motorcycle shoes come with a few innovative additions – namely a wireless feature that illuminates your feet when turning or braking. Not to mention the ultra-tough protective features, the abrasion resistant leather and the overall design. I’d never considered riding in sneakers, until I saw this!
The idea behind the ROAME Zeros was simple: to make a fashionable motorcycle shoe, that has all of the protection of your conventional boot, but with the outward look of a pair of casual sneakers. The shoe is fitted with a new, protective material called D30 that stiffens on impact and comes equipped with abrasion resistant leather to protect against road rash. But the real cool feature is the wirelessly integrated signal lighting in the sole.
We all know that making yourself as visible as possible is one of the best ways to prevent an accident, particularly at night, so the designers behind the ROAME Zeros decided to maximize your visibility by adding lights. All you have to do is add a small box under your seat – the box transmits your signals to your boots and illuminates when you’re signaling or braking. It’s a pretty damn cool idea. It’s also no surprise that the company managed to make the money that they needed on Kickstarter. Although they’ve reached their target, you can still get in on the action and get yourself a pair for a mere $300. You’ll have to wait until early 2017 for the finished article though, but that’s a small price to pay for road safety.
It would be really cool if the technology could be used for a helmet mounted light, or something for the back of your jacket too. More visibility is good news, right? And if this innovative idea helps keep the accident statistics down, we’re all for it. The ROAME Zeros might be a little unorthodox, but any weapon in the fight for road safety is worth wielding, we say!
