Rosso Mars Lamborghini Huracan Is Red Hot
Published May 14, 2015
If you’re in the market to purchase the 2015 Lamborghini LP610-4 Huracan, there’s a new exterior color option of Rosso Mars metallic red. Granted, it’s not the first red color to be added to the Lamborghini wheelhouse; in fact, there have been quite a few rouge hues throughout the years from the red-orange Arancio Diablo to the deep red Rosso Vic. For 2015, however, Lamborghini designers clearly thought there was a need for a greater range of reds and added Rosso Mars (perhaps to mimic the look of the red planet) to their Huracan palette.
The Rosso Mars color was unveiled at last year’s Geneva Show. In less than eight months after its debut, Lamborghini had orders for approximately 3000 of the 2015 Huracans worldwide in the new metallic red, with about 1000 of those orders originating in the United States.
Placing talk of the new addition to the exterior paint color palette aside, the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan has quite a few other things to recommend it. After all, this sports car powered by a 602 hp 5.2-L V10 engine goes from 0 to 60 mph in about 2.9 seconds, and it has a top speed of 202 mph. With speed like that, onlookers really won’t have the chance to ascertain if a particular Huracan is sporting Rosso Mars, Magic Red, or Red Pearl.
Fans of the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan in Rosso Red can expect to pay a minimum of $240K for the privilege of ownership, and the price goes higher with the addition of options like an integrated navigation system, reverse sensors, or speed-sensing steering. Additional body kits from tuners like Vorsteiner are also already available for purchase in the new Rosso Red.
