SOLD! David Spade’s Buick Grand National
Price Listed At Only $29,500 For This Grand National
Recently discovered on Craigslist was a certain celebrity’s 1987 Buick Grand National. The Buick was first made famous during an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage a few years ago. The episode featured a segment where Leno takes David on a drive in his own ride, and showed just how fun the Grand National can be. Since then its rumored to have had around $7,000 in body work done, and looked a little better on Craigslist than during its last debut. It has since been sold, or at least was taken off of Craigslist.
The Buick Grand National, as common as they may be, still holds a place in our hearts. This one not only looks like it should sell you drugs, but it is a sleeper on the streets. Under the hood, a 3.8-liter V6 turbocharged upgrade that puts out around 245 horsepower and 355 lb.-ft. of torque. We could take or leave the 4-speed automatic, but it does its job well. What adds a little more mystique, is the fact this was the last year the Grand National was built, and the last time we saw rear-wheel drives coming from the GM Regals.
There is no telling who has the car now, and maybe we will see this OG Buick again. We do know the proud new owner also gets to walk away with a signed picture of David and the Buick. As if the deal wasn’t sweet enough anyway. Hopefully Spade is dressed like Joe Dirt for the picture at least.
