Special Edition Mercedes SL63 AMG To Become A Rare Collectible Soon

Published March 13, 2015

Mercedes-Benz has finally managed to overcome the active and energy pumped RedBull team in Formula 1 in 2014, only to prove that its mechanics and pilots can raise to the constructor’s expectations too. After simply crushing its competition during the 2014 season, the German manufacturer does have a lot of good reasons to celebrate. Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton succeeded in 16 out of 19 races. Aside from the driver title, the manufacturer title does add to the self confidence and boost as well. As a direct consequence of this marvelous season, the luxury automaker has come up with two special editions. Both of them target the SL63 AMG roadster. As if this model was not luxury enough already, the two special editions are even more exquisite. Moreover, each of them is available in not more than 19 units, so you better start saving.

The first Special Edition Mercedes SL63 AMG underlines a very elegant profile. It comes in a traditional white design. It carries some of the personal touches of Nico Roseberg. In fact, the pilot is responsible for most of the design upgrades. The white style matches some beautiful Himalayas gray accents. They are subtle, yet obvious. The abstract color combination is astonishing. The cashmere interior fitted with designer cloth adds to the luxury purpose of this car. It is so clean that you do not even feel like taking it out of your garage. The deep customization goes even further, which means that the floor mats come with a precise representation of the Hockeheim circuit – one of the tracks where the aggressive pilot came on a pole position.

On the other hand, Lewis Hamilton’s Special Edition Mercedes SL63AMG is more aggressive. In fact, it is advertised to represent the athletic version of the white model. It is black and perfectly entices the eye with some gold accents. It has detachable door handles and mirrors, while the carpet comes with a Silverstone map. The respective maps are successfully represented on more elements around the two cars.

All in all, no matter what color the Special Edition Mercedes SL63 AMG comes in, each unit costs a little under $400,000. The package also includes an original helmet worn by the competitor while racing. Buying a pair can cut the costs a little, so the two models are available for $785,000. They are originally sold in pairs. If you only want one of them, you might need to wait. Besides, you should pray for less than 19 pair buyers. Since only 19 units of each Special Edition Mercedes SL63 AMG will be produced, 19 pair buyers will clear the inventory in no time.

As for the actual performance, Special Edition Mercedes SL63 AMG carries a 5.5L engine. The biturbo V8 has 577HP. The car goes to 60MPH in 4.1 seconds only. The convertible beauty might take this sensation even further, especially with the wind through the hair. In the end, Mercedes-Benz has proven that there are moments in life when winning are, indeed, everything.
