Super Series McLaren 570S Obliterated in London Crash
Crash So Violent It Completely Destroyed The Car
Published December 28, 2017
We’ve got some sad news, folks. A beautiful McLaren 570S Super Series has been wrecked in London, and it has not gone unnoticed. The car was seriously damaged. So much so that the car more closely resembles a scrapyard cube than a British supercar. Nevertheless, the video I embedded will show you all the gore and carnage of this unfortunate event in all its awesome detail.
There is a silver lining here though. See, the McLaren 570S uses much the same carbon monocoque chassis as its bigger brothers. Considering that the chassis is so stiff that the FIA certified it for use on the track without the need to install an additional roll cage, the passengers were still intact. Yes, the monocoque handled all the pressures and hard blows. Zoom through the attached photographs, or watch the video to see activated airbags and what appears to be the McLaren’s lunch sitting in the front cargo area.
While the London police department did not disclose details about the crash, Londoners like to spread rumors; some say that the McLaren hit a pedestrian before crashing into oblivion and that the driver fled the scene trying to evade police. However, I doubt he could get far. After all, there are only so many McLaren 570S’ registered in London, police are more than capable of finding the driver in a timely manner.
Hitting A Pedestrian is Not the Only Gossip Surrounding This 570S
As far as damage on the car goes, I can confidently say that this is one of the worst crashes involving a Super Series McLaren 570S. The front end is almost all gone while the back sustained major damage as well. Now, gossip about this McLaren hitting a pedestrian isn’t the only one circulating the pubs in London. See, some say that the car actually hit a concrete block, damaging the car beyond repair.
We’re still waiting on more information from the police department, but in the meantime, check out this brief walkaround of the wrecked McLaren.
