The Gearwench

I will be blunt; it is hard to write a bio about yourself without feeling a bit conceited, so I will try to keep this on the lighter side. The first thing you may notice is I am the only female of the writing crew for autowise.com. Yes, this may seem a bit unusual, but I grew up around cars and know more about them than many men I know, no offense. I have run used car dealerships, worked in auto body shops, handled the repossession department of a finance company and even have done some repossessions myself, so I have been around almost every facet of cars you can think of.

Brutus, Lady and Jewelsy, My Kids

My full name is Tammy Lettieri and I was born and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area and still live here with my fiancé Christopher (he goes by Chris, but seeing as I am a woman writing about cars, I did not want there to be any embarrassing confusion), our two Smooth Collies Lady and Brutus, and our White German Shepherd Jewelsy.  I no longer drive due to physical limitations, but I still own a Dodge Dakota SXT with the V8, still wondering what the hell Chrysler was thinking when they did that, but it comes in handy so it stays. My fiancé drives a Honda Civic, not my first choice, but it has had no problems and it has almost 90K on it. Our third car is a 1981 Camaro, which is in the process of getting upgraded to a tweaked 400 small block Chevrolet engine and will hopefully be back on the road soon!

I do not write as much for autowise.com as I am administrator of not only autowise.com, but also our Twitter, Facebook and Google+ pages as well. So for those of you that have asked questions on any of those sites recently, chances are I am the one that answered you! I have a full-time job as Senior Creative Writer for a marketing company, so my free time is somewhat limited to administer the sites and write, but I will throw an article out there occasionally.

Just recently, it was decided to make autowise.com a more interactive site with our readers, giving them the opportunity to comment on our social media pages and post their own vehicles. So far the response has been pretty much nothing, so we are hoping that the more personal we make the site, the more people will be willing to share their stories with us as we have with them. Please feel free to comment on any of our pages, and we will do our best to answer you immediately!  Tell us what you want to read about, or tell us about your vehicle and we will feature you on our site.  If you like what you read, share it with your friends, co-workers, anyone that might like our write-ups as much as you do.  Comment, post, good or bad, let us know how we are doing!

About Calvin Escobar

The Car scene is so diverse Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota's and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.

At Autowise, we envision ourselves as not just a automobile blog or an automobile news website, instead we see our website as a platform to connect all automobile enthusiast and provide them with all the information they need.
