Tesla Announces Shocking Low Sticker Price for the Model 3
Published February 16, 2016
Tesla is getting very experienced with making headlines around the world. From making revolutionary cars, to implementing cutting-edge technology, to opening up their patents for use by anyone, there seems to be no way to stop the spread of the once-humble US-based electric car manufacturer. Their latest development involves announcing what may be the most affordable all-around electric car ever built.
While there are not many images available quite yet, the existing ones show a car that resembles a Model S that has been scaled down a bit. It looks great, and the price is obviously the most impressive part. At $35,000 before any tax breaks, this car is extremely affordable. With the federal tax credit for an electric car currently at $7,500, the final price for the Model 3 is around $27,500. Unbelievable for what you get.
Official power figures have not been released, but Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, has promised customers a range of 200 miles. For a car that will be slightly cheaper than even the Chevrolet Bolt, making all of these claims become a reality may be quite the endeavor. If all goes smoothly, then the big manufacturers are going to have to step their game up when it comes to offering customers maximum value with their electric vehicles. Otherwise they won’t stand a chance against the safer, sexier, cooler, and more high-tech cars being offered up by Tesla Motors.
