The 2013 Acadia Denali

Updated August 3, 2012

Here we are in 2012, and the automakers are hard at work finding ways to get the general consumer to drool in awe over what comes off of the assembly lines. So the design team, of GMC got together with the sales department, (Oddly enough) and hammered out a few choice ideas as far what vehicle could use revamping for 2013. They finally came to the conclusion, and made the choice of giving the Acadia a face lift, along with a few other choice tweaks.2013 Acadia Denali

Now let’s keep in mind, the GMC Acadia is a pretty good looking SUV, and was able to stand tall among the rest of giant SUV’s on the road. The Expedition, Sequoia, and Armada are just a few names that are pretty familiar to GMC. The 2013 Acadia Denali line promises to be, not only more stunning, but command a more physical presence on the road. The previous model was very curvy, and voluptuous, and seemed to fit well with a quite a few female drivers. The 2013 Acadia Denali has been butched up a bit with quite a few sharp edges. The squared off grill was the first item up for change on the Acadia. A new set of LED/HID lights were incorporated into the front end, giving it a much more Big & Bold In Your Face look. But nothing’s wrong with that, now is there? The sharper lines carry, and flow all the way to the rear of the Acadia, where a more chiseled rear fascia is now in place. The rear glass is going to be more expensive to fix, God forbid something ever breaks the restyled, wrap around window. This was done to improve, visibility as well as improve upon styling aesthetics. Smooth, but visually pleasing wheel flairs now adorn the 20” wheel and tire combination that help keep this ride moving smoothly down any stretch of road you put in front it.Acadia Denali 2013

The interior of the 2013 Acadia Denali, has been completely reworked to inhabit more style, comfort, and functionality. Previous models were a little on the drab side, still worked but, lacked the feel of something great. Leather options, as well as wood trims can now be found in the 2013 Acadia Denali. Three solid rows of seating can, and will provide the utmost in comfort for all passengers. A new attribute that will soon be shared among the GMC SUV family will be subtle dashboard accent lighting, and a center row air bag system. Power for the 2013 Acadia Denali will primarily remain the same. A peak 290hp 3.6L V6, will still grace the engine bay of the Acadia. The good news, is that there are still two drive train options, AWD that retains a modest 16 city & 23hwy mpg, while the standard FWD gives up 17city/24hwy mpg. So, all in all with the gas prices the way they are, you wont find yourself at the pump as often as you think.

The 2013 Acadia Denali is a vehicle that has been on the road for quite some time, and doesn’t seem to look like it will be going away anytime soon. With the updated looks, white collar styling, and a solid reputation, there should be a great following for the new Acadia. Its competition will have to play catch up, as long as GM stay ahead of the curve.

The Car scene is so diverse Where I come from, most enthusiasts recognize the amazing engineering (particularly the engines). The bulk of the ridicule originates from the manner in which many of the vehicles are modded/maintained. Thus, the jokes and or hate tends to be aimed more at the owner rather than the machine. All of which makes seeing properly sorted old Toyota's and Hondas at car meets, auto shows, and track days all the more refreshing.

At Autowise, we envision ourselves as not just a automobile blog or an automobile news website, instead we see our website as a platform to connect all automobile enthusiast and provide them with all the information they need.
