Published September 24, 2012
We begin today’s segment with news from the team of Aston Martin, and how they have officially let the world know that their brand new 2013 DB9 is up for grabs, and is ready to grace drive ways across the globe.
The 2013 Aston Martin DB9 is one the company’s finest works of automotive art, next to the One-77 that is. This DB9 will of course continue to carry the ever popular, and oh so elegant curvacious lines that Aston Martin Sport GT cars have been famous for. The long sloped bonnet of the DB9 will house a reworked power plant that promises more than a great sound when you step on the gas pedal. The 2013 Aston Martin DB9 will come standard with a AM11 V12 engine that has been tooled to the numbers of 510hp, and 497lb feet of torque. AM has achieved these numbers by reshaping the bottom end of the motor, changing the variable valve timing, porting the heads, upgrading the fuel pumps, and then molding the intake manifold to allow for better air flow into the fabulous engine. Mated for life to the AM11 is a six speed automatic transmission which will motivate the DB9 to a zero to sixty time of about 4,2 seconds. The steering, and suspension are all finely tuned by AM’s tech gurus, and there’s a three(3) stage suspension damping set-up for those days where personality is completely guided by your right foot rather than your head. Stopping abilities come from a set of Brembo produced Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brake pads, and rotors. Silicon induced pads assist in cooling the discs, and also prevent brake fade when some spirited driving is being had.
The interior of the 2013 Aston Martin DB9 is every bit of the word stunning. A Brandy-wine colored Red leather interior captivates the eyes, almost as much as it soothes the soul after you have sat down. Brushed Aluminum trim panels, Beige stitching help break up what would be better know as, the beginning of the perfect day. The 2013 Aston Martin DB9 will hit showrooms next month, and will set back someone the likes of Jeremy Clarkson of about 131,995 British Pounds, which translates to around $185, 400 US dollars. If you can afford it, and you love everything about Aston Martins, simply go get one, and let it bring you to new heights enjoyment every time you drive it. for what it’s worth check out the YouTube video below for some really great looking shots of it in motion.
