The 2014 ACURA MDX Caught In Fur Form
Acura to introduce redesigned concrete crawler
It seems out crack team of photographers have caught the 2014 Acura MDX testing around the Nurburgring. Acura has had much success with the MDX but with vehicles like the Lexus RX stealing the thunder we see that Acura needs to get in gear when it comes to design and engine technology. Acura has lost a lot of sales due to contemporary designs that simple turned off potential customers. At the price Acura is asking for their vehicles we see that customers are either going to like or find one of the many other luxury competitors. So expect so luxury accents as well as more rounded and curved designs with nothing too ostentatious like the plastic shield grille that looked like something a LARP member would take to battle.
2014 Acura MDX Specs
We have been informed by our crack (head) team that they spied on the Acura team flying around the Nurburgring dressed in camouflage in order to hide the new design until release. As we look at the pictures we see that the Acura MDX is certainly trying to be covered up as much as possible. From the pictures that we see of the Acura MDX actually catching air means that the horsepower rating is certainly up and so the SH-AWD system is in full effect. The company is obviously focusing on sport driving and not off-road capabilities. So I would expect that there would be little ground clearance as they have hunkered the vehicle down to save on efficiency as well.
2014 Acura MDX Price
Honda/Acura is making the move to direct-injection just like everyone else so we should see a higher compression ration and more ponies getting produced. Look for the 2014 Acura MDX to produce at least 300hp but possibly from a smaller displacement engine than before such as a 3.5L. Although unlikely, don’t rule out a turbo 4-cylinder. As for the MDX Interior look for a focus on the Eyes-Free apple Siri technologies as with every other luxury car as well. As for the price of the 2014 Acura MDX, expect a price starting around $44k.
